Campagnolo Scirocco C17 Clincher Wheelset

The new Scirocco wheelset is the latest addition to Campag’s C17 range, offering a more efficient shape for 25-28mm tyres whilst maintaining a road orientated rim width. 

The Scirocco features a 35mm high profile which makes the wheel aerodynamic yet easy to handle, responsive and lightweight, whilst offering all the advantages of a standard tyre wheel with an aluminium baking surface. Thanks to the Dynamic Balance technology, every point of the rim is counter-balanced by an equal weight on the opposing side, providing maximum stability even at high speeds. 

The spokes have been designed with an aerodynamic profile to achieve maximum aerodynamic penetration, reducing sag and saving rider energy, whilst the anti-rotation system ensures that the spokes maintain the optimum aerodynamic position. The Front 16 Aero Spokes are radially laced in stainless steel, and the rear 21 Aero Spokes are laced in stainless steel with a variable cross section, doubled on the drive side. The exclusive G3 spoke pattern creates the perfect balance of spoke tensions on both sides of the wheel, reducing stress, increasing transversal rigidity and improving the transmission of power to the wheel. 

The hub, nipple and pin are of aluminium construction to ensure high side stiffness whilst reducing the maintaining a low wheel weight. The oversize flange G3 cassette side increases torsional stiffness and offers greater reactivity with each change in the cyclist’s pace.
