The X2 Caliper
Intended Use: XC / Trail
Bike: Hardtail / <130mm
The new X2 caliper has had a slight overhaul and now features an increased piston diameter to provide even more power than before but still stays nice and lightweight. The X2 is designed for XC and trail use and is designed for the likes of hardtails through to 130mm travel bikes. The X2 is constructed from CNC machined 2014 T6 aluminium alloy and has a wide angle hose connector mount, top entry pad fitting and a durable black anodised finish.
The E4 Caliper
Intended Use: Trail / All Mountain / Enduro
Bike: 140mm / 160mm
The E4 caliper is the replacement for the legendary M4 and is built for life on serious terrain and is probably best suited to Enduro and All Mountain bikes with travel of between 140 and 160mm. The E4 caliper is black anodised for great stealthy looks, is CNC machined from 2014 T6 aluminium alloy and generates fantastic progressive braking power by using four 16mm phenolic pistons and pad changes are easy as pie with top loading pad entry.
The V4 Caliper
Intended Use: Downhill / Freeride
Bike: 170mm / 200mm
The V4 hydraulic disc brake from Hope provides Bat poop crazy rip your face levels of power and is designed to take on the big stuff! The main aim of the V4 is to stop you when things get wild and steep and is best suited to big travel 170mm travel and over bikes, to put it another way this is Hope's downhill brake, look closely at Mr Gas To Flat's (Hope Team Rider Adam Brayton) bike on the World Cup circuit and you will definitely spot it. The V4 caliper uses four phenolic pistons to give more usable power to the rider which makes it one of the most power brakes available on the market today.
