The heart of the Di2 electronic shifter groupset, the Shimano Lithium-Ion battery is compact and highly reliable. A single-wire E-tube connection and new junction units give the battery a cleaner look and easier installation. The sealing and reliability have been proven through rigorous testing in virtually every riding condition you would expect to encounter. Extreme temperatures, mud, rain and cobble stone roads, this battery can take a lot of punishment.
The use of a single battery creates a system that is lightweight and robust, as opposed to current wireless systems which require up to four separate battery units. A single charge of this battery can last from 1000 to 2000 kilometres, depending on the front derailleur usage, as this requires the most of power.
